The majority of DANTE’s work is organised in the form of projects. The projects usually receive co-funding from the European Commission and typically last for between 18 months and 4 years.
The European Commission provides co-funding to research activities within the European Union R&D Framework Programmes. A condition for receiving funding is normally that the research activities must be performed by entities from at least three EU member states. DANTE has been involved in a number of such projects over the years. These projects typically involve numerous project partners from around Europe – usually some (or many) of Europe’s NRENs, and sometimes other organisations too. The partners in each project must select one organisation to act as the managing, or co-ordinating, partner.
In this section you will find information about current and past projects in which DANTE has been involved. A more detailed description of each of the current projects is available via the links on the left.
